CEO
Brishna Rabi is a symbol of hope and progress in Afghanistan and around the globe. Her journey towards greatness began with humble beginnings, shaped by the nurturing environment of Sultan Razia High School in Mazar-e-Sharif, where she laid the foundation of her educational journey. After finishing her schooling, she began her career as a teacher in one of Mazar-e-Sharif’s girls’ schools in the year 1986, marking the start of her commitment to empowering women through education. Her relentless pursuit of knowledge led her to Balkh University, where she graduated from the Science Faculty Department of Education, further enriching her intellectual abilities. Driven by a strong desire for excellence, she continued her academic journey, earning a master’s degree in International Laws and Affairs from Kabul Payam-e-Noor University.

Executive Assistant
Ms. Sheewa Ghazal, born in 1997, is an accomplished professional from Balkh, Afghanistan, with a strong background in education and counselling. She began her academic journey at the Teacher Training College in Balkh, graduating in 2014, and furthered her education at the Institute of Public Health, Balkh, completing her studies in 2016. With a deep commitment to social well-being, Sheewa served as a Psychosocial Counsellor at the Family Protection Centre in Balkh from 2016 to 2022, providing critical support and care to individuals and families in need. Her dedication to education and mental health underscores her passion for serving her community and making a positive impact.
In addition, she possesses significant skills in management, leadership, and coordination. While working with families, she aspired to contribute further by collaborating with individuals or organizations dedicated to community service. She is currently working as an Executive Secretary at the Light of Hope Foundation, continuing her mission to create meaningful change in society.

Programs Manager
The Programs Manager is accountable for providing a continuum of quality services ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction that is consistent with the expectations of the Funders’ service delivery framework and the service standards of the Light of Hope Foundation. The incumbent will lead, inspire, motivate, and manage a team of skilled and engaged professionals while fostering an environment that is positive and is conducive to productivity and positive outcomes for our stakeholders. The Programs Manager will be accountable for monitoring the service quality targets (SQT) and standards, resolutions, analysis of programs and performance trends and timely reporting of outcomes programs. As management team member, the individual will provide support in the planning and implementation of strategies for capacity building and new initiatives for the organization. Additionally, the Programs Manager will foster strong liaison and relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Operations Manager
Dr. Azizuddin Sultani holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from a prestigious government university in India. With over five years of extensive experience in finance, management, and leadership, he has served in various impactful roles, including Case Manager, Financial Advisor, Country Tax Manager, Finance Specialist, and Finance Manager. Additionally, he contributed to academia as a part-time university lecturer in Afghanistan, where he was honored with the esteemed Best Teacher Award.
A committed International Social Activist, Dr. Sultani received the Bharat Mother Teresa Memorial Award in 2012 for his outstanding contributions to social causes. Over the past decade, he has volunteered with numerous national and international organizations, fostering community and youth empowerment. His dedication has made him a member of several prominent organizations that inspire communities and empower youth.
Currently, Dr. Sultani is the Operations Manager at the Light of Hope Foundation, where he brings his dynamic leadership and passion for social change to support vulnerable people and empower young individuals. His mission is to drive impactful initiatives that create lasting benefits for the community through innovation, dedication, and meaningful contributions.

Proposal Writer
Ruba Akkila is a distinguished professional with over 20 years of experience in international humanitarian work, specializing in child protection and gender issues across the MENA region. Her extensive expertise is dedicated to strengthening protection systems for children and women, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with local, international, and UN organizations and governmental bodies, demonstrating a hands-on approach to program development and policy implementation. She has played a pivotal role in developing manuals and policies for social and child protection workers while formulating impactful proposals to support humanitarian initiatives.
Her commitment to program development and training reflects her dedication to fostering sustainable and positive change within communities. As a valuable team member, Ruba brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will significantly contribute to our mission. Her profound understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable communities, coupled with her expertise in designing and implementing effective programs, will enhance our ability to drive meaningful impact.

Robert Boniface is a passionate advocate for social justice and community empowerment. His career has been dedicated to designing, implementing, and evaluating programs aimed at improving the lives of marginalized populations. He is skilled in project management, partnership building, and capacity development. He has an outstanding track record in proposal writing, fundraising, and resource mobilization, securing essential funding and partnerships for sustainable development projects. His strategic approach to budgeting and financial management has strengthened program accountability and impact. Robert is also experienced in training, having facilitated workshops, developed curricula, and conducted research-driven advocacy efforts. His expertise spans monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and policy development, ensuring that programs achieve measurable success.
Robert Boniface holds a Bachelor’s degree in Botany from the University of Uyo with various certifications and over a decade of experience working in the non-profit sector, particularly in program management and community development. He is deeply committed to creating positive change in the communities we serve. As a Program Officer, he strives to empower marginalized populations, amplify their voices, and facilitate sustainable development solutions. He believes in the power of collaboration and innovation to address complex social challenges, and he is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
Certified in Fundraising and Resource Mobilization for non-profit, Organization development for non-profit, Non-profit Governance and Leadership, Monitoring & Evaluation, Disaster Risk Reduction, Child Protection, and Gender-Based Violence Prevention, Robert remains committed to continuous learning and professional development.
