Position Overview
The English Conversation Circle Teacher will facilitate conversation-based learning sessions, encouraging participants to practice speaking in a supportive and structured environment. The teacher will design activities that promote fluency, vocabulary development, and cultural understanding.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering interactive conversation sessions.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Encouraging participants to actively participate and practice speaking.
- Designing activities based on real-life situations and common language challenges.
- Providing constructive feedback and guidance to improve communication skills.
- Adapting sessions to different proficiency levels.
- Keeping attendance records and reporting on participants’ progress.
- Coordinating with the program coordinator to ensure effective delivery.
Requirements & Experience
Qualifications & Skills
- A strong command of the English language (native or near-native proficiency).
- Experience in teaching or facilitating ESL (English as a Second Language) conversation groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly and patient approach to teaching.
- Understanding of different learning needs and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to create engaging and practical lesson plans.
- TESL/TEFL certification (preferred but not mandatory).
