Volunteer Manager
Position Overview:
The Volunteer Manager recruits, trains, and manages volunteers to support the organization’s programs and activities. They ensure a positive volunteer experience and align volunteer efforts with the organization’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies.
- Conduct orientation and training sessions for new volunteers.
- Assign volunteers to tasks based on their skills and organizational needs.
- Monitor volunteer performance and provide ongoing support.
- Maintain volunteer records and ensure compliance with policies.
- Recognize and appreciate volunteer contributions.
- Develop partnerships with community groups to enhance volunteer engagement.
Requirements:
- Experience in volunteer coordination or human resources.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage volunteers.
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of volunteer management software is an asset.
Experience:
- Experience in volunteer management and community engagement.
- Experience in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers.
- Previous work in nonprofit organizations, humanitarian aid, or social services is preferred.
- Experience in organizing volunteer events, programs, or community service initiatives.
- Familiarity with volunteer management software and databases is an asset.
